Crane Sales Specialist The Crane Sales Specialist is responsible for providing technical sales and support related to all aspects of overhead cranes and material handling solutions in the specialist's defined region. The Crane Sales Specialist will assist the designated Account Manager in increasing vertical sales, customer support, and training opportunities by creating a professional, yet localized, focused sales plan/initiative to meet and exceed teams goals. This will require organizing and administering a plan to promote open communications, by all parties, through visits, meetings, phone & digital contact methods.
Be the Mazzella Overhead Crane "Subject Matter Expert" when it comes to new equipment, competitive landscape, current industry standards related sales and marketing efforts for the geographic area Promote Mazzella Crane Manufacturing offerings and products within an assigned territory by utilizing a consultative sales approach through best practices Gain market share by prospecting opportunities to expand both new and existing business Educate and partner with Account Managers to develop an understanding of the Overhead Crane solutions technical sales process Utilize the Company's customer relationship management (CRM) system to maintain complete call records, gather business intelligence and support sales goals Coordinate with Account Management to qualify leads, follow up on opportunities and gather necessary information for provided and self-generated for all provided and self-generated leads Prepare, tailor, support, and present professional proposals Review technical documentation to ensure accurate quoting processes Assist in following up on active quotes and document progress as needed Collaborate with Segment Managers to develop and achieve segment/vertical targets and goals, addressing customer issues and opportunities Perform any other assigned duties Education A high school diploma or GED is required, an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university in a related discipline. In the absence of a degree, directly related job experience serving in an industrial sales/operations role, where a number of years and proven knowledge may offset the degree requirement Experience & Skills: 5 years in a sales or service role or equivalent military experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required Willingness to stay educated in the crane industry; as cranes become increasingly sophisticated, need to be increasingly computer literate and technologically savvy Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and disciplined with the ability to multi-task Strong analytical, conceptual, and planning skills are required Written and verbal communication skills Excellent math skills and overall PC literacy (Microsoft Office) are required Must successfully complete a criminal background check, drug screen and E-Verify The Mazzella Way Mazzella is a family owned company that puts people first.
