PSS is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost Control/Engineer with a strong background in Turnarounds for a 48-week project coming up in Geismar, Louisiana. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and controlling costs associated with the turnaround, ensuring optimal use of resources and maximum profitability. Candidate *MUST BE LOCAL* to the Geismar area!! The necessary skills include –
Responsibilities: Develop and implement cost engineering tools and processes. Prepare cost estimates and budgets for turnaround projects. Monitor turnaround costs and provide regular cost reports. Identify cost variances and recommend corrective actions. Collaborate with project teams to ensure cost efficiency. Working closely with schedulers to monitor and control manpower. Understanding contracts and earned value management. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Cost Engineer in turnaround events. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. PAY RATE: Will be determined by expertise and experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. This may result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators. Travel, by air or auto, may occasionally be required.
