Position Overview:
Are you a skilled Cost Analyst with a passion for supporting federal initiatives? We're currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team. As a Cost Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in developing estimates for government projects, supporting budget planning processes, procurements, and technical decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive cost estimates using various techniques such as statistical modeling, parametric analysis, and analogy.
- Collaborate with Program Managers, technical experts, and other stakeholders to gather project requirements and necessary information.
- Estimate software size, team productivity, and development costs using parametric tools and MS Excel.
- Create and maintain cost and budget models using MS Excel.
- Document analysis findings in clear and concise reports using MS PowerPoint and MS Word.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to evaluate product costs and capabilities.
- Respond to inquiries from external oversight organizations as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college; business or STEM-related field preferred.
- 7 to 10 years of experience in acquisition, with at least 5 years focused on cost estimation.
- Experience working on Information Technology programs is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis.
- Strong analytical, research, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary ranging from $82,069 to $150,000 per year.
