Cost Accounting Manager

Growing General Contractor in the Raleigh, NC area is in need of a full-time on-site role for a Cost Accounting Manager. The Cost Accounting Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all activities related to cost accounting, including but not limited to financial analysis, project cost management, inventory control, and budgeting. The Cost Accounting Manager will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including production, purchasing, and sales to ensure accurate and timely financial information to support business decision-making. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree is preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in commercial construction environment Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work with complex financial data Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and cost accounting standards Mastery of accounting software, QuickBooks Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Experience in managing and developing accounting staff Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines Experience in government contracting, proposals, and compliance is a plus CPA and/or CMA license is a plus Qualifications: Proven experience in construction accounting Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing priorities Construction experience a plus Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment Quickbooks proficient
