Cost AccountantFinanceWe are looking for a Full Time Cost Accountant to support our finance department by performing the following duties with speed, accuracy, and a can-do attitude:Enhance and maintain the Company's cost accounting methodology and system designProvide input into weekly cross-functional gross margin and contribution margin meetings, working closely with the FP&A functionMonitor and track PPV, Material, Labor and OH variancesEnhance and manage the overhead and variance capitalization policy in conjunction with the Director of FinanceSupport BOM analysis and maintenance as requiredComplete required month-end, year-end audit and Board materials in a timely manner, in accordance with GAAPPrepare GM related monthly journal entries manually or by initiating electronic creation through our software program, review JEs carefully for anomalies and other inconsistenciesReview rates of depreciation, labor and overhead and suggest policy changesClassify costs accurately in accordance with GAAPGenerate PPV reportsReview of jobs and associated manufacturing variances to determine various cost and labor allocationResponsible for reserves and inventory accounting/reconciliationMonitor inventory transactions and cycle count resultsOwnership of related Key Internal Controls over Financial ReportingPosition Requirements:Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, CPA a plus2 plus years of progressive cost accounting experienceWorking knowledge of ERP systems, report writing tools, Microsoft Office SuiteSolid understanding of the core elements in a standard cost system and the ability to construct and analyze the standard costs of our productsWillingness to create business processes and assume ownership of tasks, projects and assignments, and ability to work with operations leaders on new product and cost savings projectsTo be reviewed for consideration please apply or return your resume to All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.GPAC (Growing People and Companies) is an award-winning search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States since 1990.
