We are seeking a motivated and talented Cosmetology Instructor to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in shaping the skills and knowledge of future cosmetologists, preparing them for successful careers in the ever-evolving beauty industry. Responsibilities: Deliver a comprehensive cosmetology curriculum, adhering to Washington State licensing requirements Provide hands-on instruction in all aspects of cosmetology, including haircare, hairstyling, cutting, coloring, skincare, makeup application, and client consultation Evaluate student progress, provide constructive feedback, and identify areas for improvement Maintain a positive and professional learning environment, fostering a passion for the cosmetology industry Stay current with the latest trends and techniques in cosmetology through continuing education Contribute to the overall success of the cosmetology program by participating in curriculum development and improvement initiatives Correspond with outside vendors and agencies regarding payments, supplies, orders and student enrollments Verify timecards for students Schedule customer appointments Conduct new student orientation classes Prepare facility for educational inspections Compile and distribute student progress reports Other duties as assigned This person will work closely alongside with and report directly to the owner. Qualifications: Washington State Cosmetology Instructor License Minimum of 3 years of experience as a licensed cosmetologist Proven teaching experience preferred, but not required Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills Ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment for students Strong work ethic, passion for the cosmetology industry, and a commitment to student success Proven history of working independently, with minimal supervision Prior experience counting cash and/or conducting business related bank deposits Knowledge of MindBody or similar client scheduling software Ability set up chat messages, files, folders and interface with Microsoft Teams and use other Microsoft products
