Cortez - Open Pit Electrician

Position Description:Nevada Gold Mines is looking for an Open Pit Electrician to join the Open Pit Maintenance team.The successful candidate will maintain and repair electrical systems on P&H 2800XPA/B and 4100 XPB/C electric shovels, 930E and 830E Komatsu Haul Trucks, 795F and 282 Liebherr haul trucks, HV Switchgear, HV cable repairs and miscellaneous electrical duties; perform other duties as assigned.Responsibilities:Maintain and repair electrical systems on P&H 2800XPA/B and 4100 XPB/C electric shovels, 930E and 830E Komatsu Haul Trucks, 795F and 282 Liebherr haul trucks, HV Switchgear, and HV cable repairsMiscellaneous electrical dutiesPerform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Two (2) years electrical experience in an open pit mining environment preferredIndustrial electrical experience preferredExperience with programmable logic controls (PLC) SL504, motor controls circuits, high-voltage cable repairs preferredExperience with maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems on P&H 200XPA/B shovels, 685E, and 930E electric haul trucks preferredAbility to read electrical blueprints and utilize test equipment preferredAbility to utilize basic hand tools requiredMSHA electrical cards preferredAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of management requiredAbility to perform the essential functions of the position requiredExcellent verban and written communication skillsCapability to multi-task, self-manage and self-motivateDemontrasted good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standardsThe ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days is an essential function of this role #LI-TC1Job Identification227723Posting Date2024-05-02Job ScheduleFull timeJob CategoryMaintenanceLocationsElko, NV, United States
