Cortez - Drilling Supervisor

Position Description:Nevada Gold Mines is looking for a Drilling Supervisor to join the Cortez MRM team located in Elko, NV. The successful candidate will partner with Drilling Services and Geology teams to ensure drilling programs are executed according to plan and in compliance with all Nevada Gold Mines Safety and Health, Contractor Management and Environmental policies and applicable regulatory agency guidelines.Responsibilities:Review project scopes of work and support drill planningProvide technical advice on the suitability of proposed drilling methods to achieve project objectivesEnsure drill sites are constructed within design parameters and ready for occupancyEnsure drill rigs are property set upProvide detailed daily activity reportingAccurately reports status updates on hole conditions, sample quality and recovery and delays to drillingLiaison with Mine Operations personnelEnsure all down hole surveys are performed to client specificationsInspect equipment and laydown areasManage inventory of consumablesParticipate in contractor safety meetings and incident investigationsConduct visible felt leadership interactions with drill contractorsQualifications:Two (2) years of experience with exploration drilling, specific technical knowledge of air rotary and core drillingExperienced in contract management Strong commitment to achieving zero accidents and citationsGood communication skills and problem solving skillsExperience with computer software (MS Office, AcQuire) Familiarity and understanding of exploration process Ability to travel locally on a routine basis What We Can Offer YouA comprehensive compensation package including bonuses benefits, and stock purchase plans where applicableAbility to make a difference and lasting impactWork in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing teamAn Opportunity to transform Traditional Mining into the future of Digital MiningOpportunities to grow and learn with the industry colleagues are endlessAccess to a variety of career opportunities across Nevada Gold Mine locationsNevada Gold Mines is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer#LI-RM1
