Job Title: Corporate Controller
Location: US-NJ
Overview: The Corporate Controller directs and has immediate responsibility for the organization's overall accounting practices, the maintenance of its fiscal records, and the preparation of its financial reports. Directs and has overall responsibility for general and property accounting, internal auditing, cost accounting, budgetary controls, and the data processing functions of the corporation. Responsible for appraising operating results in terms of costs, budgets, policies of operations, trends, and increased profit opportunities. Also responsible for corporate insurance policies and all necessary audit and tax interfaces.
Responsibilities: Responsible for general accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, property accounting, internal auditing, project accounts and financial reporting Responsible for consolidated Operating and Capital Budgets Responsible for legal and tax consolidated financial reports Interprets operating results and how they impact the financial health of the corporation; makes specific recommendations regarding potential profitability improvements (e.g., cost reduction, pricing) Assumes responsibility for the correct and accurate accounting classifications of all expenditures and documents, including capital and other Acts as immediate contact with corporation's independent auditors on accounting matters Acts as immediate contact with company's outside tax accountants Directs the preparation of monthly and year-end financial reporting packages to be used by Executive Management to share and analyze the company's financial performance Is available to support special projects of the CFO and the Executive Team Monitors the effectiveness of the IT tools which are needed to support accurate and timely financial statements reporting and analysis Qualifications: Bachelor's degree is required, Master's degree and/or CPA is preferred. At least 10 years experience in accounting, as well as at least 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment with solid cost accounting skills. Proficient in Excel and experience with reporting and budgeting tools. Prophix a plus. Experience with integrated ERP systems; SAP, Info LN.
