COVID Coordinator/Staff Development Trainer – Southeast MO Residential Services (SEMORS) – Poplar Bluff/Sikeston Site Apply by: Wednesday, August 16, 2023 Salary: $48,684.27
Job Location: This full-time position may be domiciled at 2351 Kanell Blvd, Poplar Bluff, MO 63901 or 112 Plaza Dr, Sikeston, MO. 63801 and will require some travel between the two facilities. Regular work schedule will be Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with Saturday and Sunday off. Occasional coverage on other shifts may be necessary at times to meet the needs of SEMORS COVID testing and the training department. Also, this position will require periodic after hour notification and testing based on the needs of the facility and COVID-19.

What you'll do: Mid-level professional work implementing, monitoring and coordinating facility and outbreak COVID-19 testing for staff and residents. Responsible for reporting, contact tracing, data analysis, tracking and follow up. Will maintain inventory tracking, stocking, reporting and replenishing of PPE and testing supplies for both SEMORS locations.
Participation in various conference calls relating to COVID/PPE and training.
Will assist SEMORS Staff Development Training Specialist with facility training needs (New Employee Orientation; Safety Care, CPR-1st Aide, etc.). Will present in-person and virtual trainings on a variety of topics to a workforce with diverse backgrounds, education and experiences. All you need for success as a COVID Coordinator/Staff Development Trainer: High school diploma or equivalent.
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and one or more years of relevant work experience, or additional years of work experience, plus the expectation of becoming a certified instructor in CPR/1st Aide and Safety Care. (Substitutions may be allowed).
One or more years of experience working with virtual and in-person instruction.
Preferred experience/skills: demonstrated, effective communication skills and experience teaching the following topics: client rights, infection control, direct support care and continuous improvement strategies with a focus on outstanding customer service.
