JOB SUMMARY: Oversees the daily operation of Resort Transit and is the first point of contact for Team Members, Guests, Mears drivers, and interdepartmental partners in the absence of a Supervisor. Monitors the operation to ensure Guest and Team Member safety, positive Guest interactions, and maintains daily labor budgets. Responsible for leading and coaching Team Members, including third-party Mears drivers, and responding to any Team Member or Guest concerns. Accountable for training-related functions to include: scheduling new hire on-the-job training, re-certification, and compliance training. This role is also responsible for regularly covering the Parking and Transportation Operations Center (PTOC), which serves as the communication hub for all of Parking and Transportation.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs all operational duties related to the daily opening, operation, and closing of Resort Bus operation. This includes the Bus Loop, Resort Hotels, and Volcano Bay work areas. Completes opening and closing checklists for operational readiness, inspects the work environment including: equipment, busses, queue lines, roadways, for cleanliness and operational safety. Manages the flow of Guests throughout Resort Bus locations.Responsible for the consistent execution of Guest Service, operational standards, and motivating Team Members to safely deliver an efficient Resort Bus operation. Regularly trains and coaches performance of Team Members and Mears drivers, conducts daily shift meetings, and documents performance utilizing the Lead Observation Report and other tools. Aids in the dissemination of general company and venue or area specific forms of communication.Ensures daily staffing levels and rotations are adjusted according to line schedules. Proactively adjusts manned positions based on Guest flow and business needs. Orders and maintains operating supplies. Reviews and/or edits Kronos to ensure that time is properly entered based on job code and functional area. Assist with Scheduling and running/ managing labor including overtime reports. Performs additional administrative tasks as required.Monitors Guest and vehicle flow via surveillance systems for all of Parking and Transportation areas, monitors multiple radio channels, and provides real-time updates to duty management who are in the field. Assists with updating electronic traffic arrows. Communicates with bus drivers via radio to execute route changes due to Guest flow, events, or special requests.Conducts regular walk-throughs, audits, and quality checks of Parking & Transportation operation and vehicles. Records findings and escalates major concerns to management in a timely manner. Creates and manages schedules for Resort Bus needs, including normal operation, events, and special requests. Maintains accurate record-keeping of Resort Bus usage for billing purposes, and performs other administrative tasks as required.Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.Performs other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Experience in a control center environment preferred.ON-THE-JOB TRAINING: One Hundred (100) hours total on-the-job training required.
