Great job on the water in Kirkland We have two small restaurants in the Kirkland marina that offer competitive wages, tip-share & commissions, shift meals, and an awesome team of folks making the best food around (please note - we have a diverse crew but please be conversant in English). We work collaboratively, value our employees, and we will train the right person. Must be available days (Slip), evenings (both), and especially weekends as that is when we are busiest. We are open 7 days a week at Vovina (no early mornings, no super late nights!) and daily in the summer at The Slip (11am to 10pm).

Vovina is an upscale cocktail bar and scratch kitchen restaurant, has a company match 401k program, profit sharing and sales bonuses. Long term employees. Nice regulars.

The Slip is a burger spot with a fun casual indoor/outdoor environment, open kitchen, and a big view deck. We offer sales bonuses, an annual company party, and more. It's part of Kirkland history and has been here 28 years. Current owner, 5 years.

Note - we love dogs and welcome them on our patios, you must be good with that.

These restaurants are separate entities, about 180 feet from each other, and have the same owner and executive chef. Positive culture, fair and respectful teams.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure recipes and plating guidelines are followed consistently.
Ensure recipe ingredients are checked for quality on a consistent basis.
Prep for the day's service.
Wash dishes, maintain clean kitchen.
Ensure kitchen is held to the highest health and cleanliness standards at all times.
Maintain effective communication with all team members both FOH and in the kitchen.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Ability to multi-task while remaining focused on the key objectives of the position.
Proficient in line work, or willing to train and work hard to learn.
High School diploma or equivalent. Must be 18 years old at minimum.
Must have current Washington State food handlers permit to work in a kitchen.
Compensation (wage DOE plus tips) runs from $20 to $35 hourly.
