Controls Technician

Controls Technician Primary Responsibilities Assist in the development, implementation, repair, and maintenance of instrumentation, control, and electrical systems. Perform system start-ups and operational checkouts on systems including configuration, wiring, calibration, grounding, and power testing. Reload and reboot PLCs and fanuc robots to restore faulted equipment after power outages. Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on electrical and control systems. Provide hardware and software application support assistance to maintenance, engineering, and operations. Utilize technical materials such as manuals, Process and Instrument Diagrams, schematics, and blueprints to troubleshoot and maintain systems. Support creation and implementation of training around the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of integrated controls and information systems. All other duties as assigned.  Requirements High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. 1+ years' applicable experience in PLC software and hardware troubleshooting and/or PC-based HMI-systems in an industrial, manufacturing, military, or related environment.
