Direct Hire with Benefits PRIMARY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: This assignment will include providing production support and project team assistance in a team environment. Design and programming for automated systems including the use of Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA). Ensure customized software applications are using the GAMP design model. Hardware and Software integration will be refined on automated equipment used in manufacturing environments for capital equipment valued at over $1M. Independently execute peer reviews for safety and quality of the product. Produce control system design documents and FDA validation documentation per GAMP guidelines for the pharmaceutical industry. Consultation with suppliers relating to sourcing, specifying and operating instrumentation and control equipment. Work as key member of Project Team, including cost/variance reporting Ability to simultaneously execute multiple complex projects Management of engineering consultants and contractors Support field engineers, test technicians, and end users on controls/process related issues throughout the project lifecycle. Consistently observe and promote SHEQ site requirements. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE: BSEE or equivalent required with 3-5 years of related work experience Understand PID control loops, servo controls, and variable frequency drives. Well organized with ability to schedule own workload. Experience as technical liaison with vendors/customer in both written and verbal forms. Experience with iFix, Visual Basic for Applications, SyTech XLReporter, PLC ladder logic programming for Rockwell products, Siemens, and associated hardware. Extensive knowledge of communication networks e.g. TCP/IP, EthernetI/P, Profibus Understanding of relational databases (e.g. MS SQL, MS Access). Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7/Server operating systems and MS Office applications including security policy settings. Knowledge of machine design, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, motor controls and aseptic process machine production. Strong troubleshooting skills on manufacturing equipment. Skills necessary for Hardware and Software integration will be refined on automated equipment used in manufacturing environments. A working knowledge of plant facilities would be preferred. Communications skills necessary as customer interaction is frequent. ADDITIONAL SKILLS: Experience with Rockwell Factory Talk. Experience with robotics a plus (Nachi, Fanuk, Staubli, Kawasaki) Previous manufacturing operations experience. SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS: Overtime as needed.
