SRG Global is looking for a Controls Engineer to join our team in Covington, GA near Atlanta!
The Controls Engineer will be a shared resource partnering with cross functional teams, value streams and/or capabilities to seek and implement the largest opportunities that will create value to the company. All phases of the manufacturing environment are in scope, including safety, continuous improvement, design and development of new business, and transformation.
The ideal candidate will lead the controls aspect of designing, specifying, qualifying, and deploying control systems and connection to manufacturing systems. Our Team

Collaborating with multiple functions within operations, product development, and other capabilities to create value. What You Will Do Create new PLC and HMI programs from scratch for various types of automation equipment (Allen Bradley PLCs and HMIs) Integrate Allen Bradley PLCs to various types of automation equipment: Stepper Motors, Industrial Lasers, Fanuc Robots, Vision systems, Barcode Scanners, etc. Program and connect automation systems to existing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Collaborate on concept design, programming, testing and deployment of automation systems Identify and address improvement opportunities in the manufacturing processes and equipment Troubleshoot/diagnose and repair issues on automation equipment Add and/or modify logic on existing equipment to include advanced quality checks and improvements Manage planned equipment upgrade projects Design/Create electrical schematics for new automation cells Create electrical safety circuits for new automation cells using programmable safety controllers and/or Safety rated PLCs Create and maintain Bill of Material for controls components on automation projects Travel 10-20% of the time Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Bachelor's degree in electrical / Controls Engineering OR equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment Experience with Allen Brady Control systems Experience troubleshooting various PLCs Experience connecting vision system, safety controllers, and sensors (Keyence, Banner, etc.) What Will Put You Ahead Experience is MES system integration, SCADA, etc. Experience in building and commissioning automation equipment Experience integrating PLCs to multi robot automation cells Experience with programming and debugging Allen-Bradley Control/Compact Logix PLCs, Raspberry Pi
