**Job Description**

Bosch-Rexroth

in Bethlehem, PA is looking for a control systems engineer to be part of our

team. Essential duties & responsibilities include the following:

+ Apply knowledge of PLC based software to develop machine & motion control systems which animate large,

precise hydraulic machines.

+ Assist in in-house testing and on-site commissioning.

+ Utilize closed and open loop solutions and their implementations in software.

+ Use your knowledge of high level and scripting languages to develop graphical user interfaces, hosted on computer, web or mobile phones to allow users to operate and visualize machines in motion.

+ Select and apply control system hardware and instrumentation, panel design according to National Electrical Code (NEC).

+ Integrate distributed controls using industrial Ethernet networks.

+ Collaborate with sales & customer to determine & document customer requirements, technical specifications and determine solutions.

+ Periodically support system sales efforts at customer locations alongside sales team.

+ Prepare functional descriptions and operator manuals for your control system designs

+ Position follows a hybrid work (Smartwork) model

+ Domestic and occasional international travel required to customer sites for training, meetings, commissioning, technical reviews, etc.

Approximately 10% yearly.

+ Perform other essential and peripheral duties as may be necessary.

**Qualifications**

+ Bachelors degree in a technical field, for example: Electrical, Computer or Control Engineering, Chemical, Industrial, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Automation Technology, or related field from an accredited institute (ex. CHEA) and 3 years experience in control systems

**_OR_**

Associate's degree in a technical field and 5 years experience in control systems

**_OR_**

HS diploma and 7 years experience in control systems.

+ Experience with the application and programming of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)

+ Experience with the application of current Human Machine Interface (HMI) programs.

+ Ability to work in a team environment.

+ Exceptional organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
