For more information on our benefits go to Nucor.com/benefits.Basic Job Functions:Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.What You'll Do:Work with local branch staff and regional support staff to review, amend, and negotiate customer and vendor contracts consistent with NRF commercial contractual risk transfer guidelines and policies.Your Responsibilities:Provide contracts support to 11 branches located in the Southeast and South-Central U.S, working collaboratively with fellow contracts colleagues, local branch staff, as well as the accounting, collections, and billing departments.Independently review, amend as needed, and negotiate customer and vendor contracts and documents to ensure alignment with NRF commercial terms and conditions, as well as for accuracy of scope of work and pricing. Documents include purchase orders, subcontracts, bid forms, NDAs, joint check agreements, lien waivers, warranties, and certificates of insurance.Negotiate directly with customer project managers, procurement managers, management, attorneys, and other customer or vendor representatives.Build positive, collaborative commercial relationships with customers and vendors as well.Maintain strict confidentiality of customer accounts and corporate financial and other data.Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by supervisor.Minimum Qualifications:Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal CertificateAt least 2 years' experience reviewing, amending, and negotiating contractual terms and conditions.At least 2 years' experience drafting contractual language, terms and conditions, and legal language.Preferred Qualifications:Excellent oral and written skills; analytical and problem-solving skills; negotiation skills, interpersonal skills, and strong listening skills.Must be able to work collaboratively and creatively with many stakeholders and colleagues.Demonstrated ability to independently manage and prioritize your workload.Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, preferred experience with BlueBeam, and a proven adaptability to learn new systems.Previous roles that emphasize critical thinking, organizational skills, and attention to detail.Demonstrated ability to review, interpret, and synthesize purchase orders and other related contract documents and information.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and creatively with colleagues.Strong negotiation, written, oral, analytical, and problem-solving skills are an absolute must.Ability to multitask and juggle multiple projects and issues simultaneously.Overtime and travel will be required.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
