The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking applicants for a business specialist to work in the Contracts department. We are willing to train a skillful candidate that meets the required qualifications. Key Responsibilities: Maintaining contract files including status reports, payment schedules and terms, budget and accounting information, correspondences, document upload, and accuracy reviews Drafting, reviewing, editing, and executing contracts, administrative agreements, teaming agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other contract-related documents within pre-determined signature authority Performing pre-negotiation fact-finding research to support negotiations, as delegated Conducting negotiations for small contracts and document negotiation results Reviewing proposal solicitations and preparing contract-related proposal documents, ensuring company criteria are complete and that specific funding agency requirements have been satisfied Preparing reports, presentations, and other files for distribution and/or discussion Required Qualifications: B.S. degree, preferably in a business-related field Two to five years of experience in general business functions, such as accounting, budgeting, purchasing, or contracts Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) Excellent intrapersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to deal with multiple and conflicting deadlines Proven ability to work well independently and as part of a team Ability to prioritize workload and work flexibly with a wide variety of programs and agencies Have a proactive nature and high attention to detail Must have or be able to obtain a DoD security clearance Must be a U.S. citizen SDL offers competitive salaries and fantastic benefits, including: A 14.2% employer retirement contribution into a 401(a) account.
