URGENT – START RIGHT AWAY. Our client is looking for 3 - Temporary QC Lab Technicians at their Medical Device and Pharmaceutical plant in Kansas . Excellent Hourly rate + Future scope of contract extension and/or conversion/promotion to a full-time permanent role will full benefits for the right person.

Shift times 7AM – 3.30PM                                                                             
Job Title : Contract – Quality Control Lab Technicians Location: Lawrence, KS 
Compensation: Hourly Pay rate range of $35 - $45 Duration:   This contract assignment will be for around 2 months .
Future Permanent position:   This contract assignment could extend in duration or convert to a permanent role with all the benefits in the future, based on personal performance and client needs.
Group Info:  Be part of the medical device and pharmaceutical contract manufacturing site with around 100+ employees and expected to grow to 150 people soon due to major expansion in Pharma manufacturing .
The new operation expansion is for Pharma - Blow Fill Cap – BFC of Sterile Solutions. This role will support the surge of stability testing required for the new pharmaceutical system
This role will report to the QC Lab Manager with around 10 – 12 people in the QC Lab and around 25 people in the Quality Group
Job Summary : The QC Tech is responsible for conducting visual inspections and testing to support the cGMP manufacturing   operations.   
The QC Tech performs dimensional tests, visual inspection, prepares testing reagents and media, performs wet chemical analysis, and provides support for microbiological procedures.
Additional duties to support   the laboratory   may include   logging   area and incubator   temperatures, sampling of raw materials, releasing packaging materials, environmental sampling of classified areas, dimensional   analysis, preparation   of media, and sampling and testing   water.  
This position requires attention   to detail, requiring   a proactive individual with a high degree of integrity, completing testing documentation independently and in a timely manner in accordance with quality system procedures.
The QC Tech provides backup support to the QC Line Inspector position, and the Microbiologist/Formulation Chemist.  
Job Description :  Lab Tech: Provides support activities for laboratory team as assigned by the area lead or manager including media preparation, logging area and incubatory temperatures, sampling of raw materials and water, wet chemistry testing, and environmental sampling of classified areas. Microbiologist: Maintains training as a backup to the Microbiologist/Scientist to perform bioburden testing, microbial counts, and sterility testing; includes interpretation of testing results. QC Clean/Sanitization of Lab: Provides support for laboratory cleaning and sanitization and glassware washing, as assigned. QC Line Testing: Performs various tests as dictated by master batch records to support release of finished product. Performs visual inspections to ensure finished goods are packaged correctly prior to release.  Assumes accountability for work performed.  Releases packaging materials to graphic/dimensional specifications for use in manufacturing.  Provides support activity to line personnel for break coverage. Facility Maintenance: Performs this job role in support of laboratory equipment, documenting calibration and maintenance, when equipment is used. NCR System: Supports the nonconformance system through reporting of Nonconformances and supporting Quality in investigation activities.  Duties include placing product on QC Hold, pending investigation or OOS or NCR investigations.  Candidate Must Have : High School Diploma or GED 2 years of QC lab Testing experience in Manufacturing environment Knowledge of basic math to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and averaging.   Ability to use a balance, calipers and other measuring device Working knowledge of Microsoft word and excel. Ability to work independently Candidate Nice to Have: AAS in Biology, Chemistry, or related field FDA regulated Industry experience in BioPharma, Medical Device, Cosmetics, Food, OTC etc. Keywords: Quality Control, QC lab, Chemist, Lab tech, contract, consultant, temporary, FDA, BioPharma
