Job Summary
This role is in the Renewal Energy Services (RES) improvement group responsible for setting policy, establishing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives throughout the department .
Work with management and businesses associates to address the business process issues. Project initiatives include cost management, performance efficiency, process development, ownership/alignment, and other operational initiatives. In addition, includes large-scale transformational projects focused on supporting the department's core business results.
Assists in development and implementation of programs to establish and maintain quality standards for existing processes and services, and development of programs to focus employees on quality improvement at all levels. Supports policies, procedures, training standards, and metrics to monitor significant process and/or operational metrics and improvements.
Assists in the delivery of business and process solutions that will enable the department to maintain its high performance, business leadership position in Operational Excellence, Financial Strength, and Disciplined Investment.
Job Responsibilities
* Performs analysis on the effectiveness of existing business processes and assists in developing sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable business process improvements.
* Gathers best business practices research within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data.
* Collects and analyzes process data and pain points from process owners to assist with initiation, development, and recommendation of business practices and procedures and implementing process improvement changes that focus on enhanced safety, increased productivity and efficiency.
* Works with IT to determine how new technologies can support business process reengineering.
* Assists with implementation of methodologies to measure process improvement and performance against targets. Maintains standards for all training programs and materials.
Job Specific Qualifications
Required:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration or other highly analytical field
* Four years directly-related work experience
* Strong MS Office skills (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Access)
* Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities
* Appreciation for driving change management
* Strong training, presentation and communication skills - both written and oral
* Strong understanding of, and ability to explain analytical tools and statistics
* Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and facilitate
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with others on sensitive issues and to facilitate high-performing teams
* Strong leadership skills; ability to encourage and help motivate others
* Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
* Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
* Highly organized with a keen attention to detail
* Self-starting with the demonstrated ability to learn new technical concepts quickly
* Six Sigma Green Belt
Desired:
* Master's degree
* Demonstrated project management skills and ability to work multiple projects simultaneously (PMI Certification a plus)
* Technical mastery of Lean Six Sigma, as well as other process improvement methodologies
* Six Sigma Black Belt experience with both the delivery and deployment of business transformation projects
