About the Position : Be a part of a treatment team, assisting individuals by developing and maintaining supportive relationships. Address strengths, goals and barriers to recovery. This includes monitoring potential and progressing toward treatment goals of consumers of mental health and/or substance abuse services. Use appropriate decision making related to treatment of consumers of mental health and/or substance abuse services. This may include identifying relevant behaviors/activities and managing group dynamics. This specific position is based in our Admissions department.
Job Type/Salary:
8 hour shifts
Annual Salary is $35,547.20 / $17.09 hourly
Potential to earn extra $$:
Extra $.50/hour for working evenings and nights
Extra $.75/hour for working weekends
Extra $1/hour for working on an inpatient or crisis unit
Primary Working Hours:
2:00pm-11:00pm M-F
FLSA Status is Non-Exempt

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Associates Degree OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting two years of relevant experience for the required education.
Possesses a strong commitment to patient well-being and safety.
Must believe that recovery is possible!
Special Requirements:
Upon a conditional offer of employment, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds and able to push and pull a maximum force of 25 pounds.
Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver's license.

About us:
Griffin Memorial Hospital (GMH) is located in Norman, Oklahoma, and serves all 77 counties in Oklahoma as a Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) treatment center for adults. Griffin Memorial Hospital is a 120-bed acute psychiatric hospital serving persons aged 18 and over with severe mental illness and provides in-patient hospital care for those in need of mental health & substance abuse services.
