What You'll Be Doing:
The Project Superintendent's responsibility is to supervise the field construction of a project and to complete the work on schedule, within the budget and to the quality of workmanship specified. The Project Superintendent will be on-site full time and responsible for all field activities.
Responsibilities & Tasks:
Safety
Partner with the Safety/Environmental Director to maintain Fransen Pittman's current high level of safety compliance on all projects by performing regular and consistent safety audits
Conduct weekly safety meetings on hands inclusive of all onsite personnel
Quality
Developing site specific quality program and ensuring the completion of projects meeting the highest quality standards for our customers
Provide guidelines to our employees about our quality policies, standards and procedures
Hold subcontractors and vendors to Fransen Pittman's standard of excellence
Scheduling
Responsible for developing and maintaining all project scheduling including initial project review, weekly schedule updates, and identifying and tracking any delays
Determine the most efficient sequencing of work activities and manage subcontractors to follow the master schedule and proper sequencing
Storm water
Perform regular on-time stormwater audits and post-storm audits
Proactively manage project's pollution sources and storm water program
Jobsite Management
Manage all subcontractors for full compliance with specifications and drawings
Complete close-out and all building commissioning.
Ensure all inspections are completed in accordance with project schedule and local jurisdictions and following up with any discrepancies
Provide accurate monthly equipment and labor projections
Conducting preconstruction and subcontractor meetings, being actively engaged in all owner/architect meetings
Complete thorough and factual daily logs that clearly describe the activities of the day
Submit timesheets, expense reports, receipts and other project reports weekly for processing
Treat client, representatives, and design professionals with respect and professionalism
What we're looking for:
Minimum 4 -8 years of commercial superintendent experience
Proven ability to effectively and successfully manage projects of $20 million and higher
Ability to effectively communicate with Project Manager, Owner, Architect, and all other team members
Ability to read, understand, and analyze all project documents (drawings, contracts, specifications, submittals)
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Bluebeam
Knowledge of inspection process and procedures
Knowledge of project scheduling software and processes – Microsoft Project is preferred
Working knowledge of subcontractor's scope of work and specification
Knowledge of local storm water requirements and regulations
Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and extreme attention to detail
OSHA 30 Certification is a plus!
Must have a current driver's license and clean driving record
Someone that's not afraid to jump in with their tools to do what is required to ensure that the project keeps moving forward
