The BUILT. team is comprised of dedicated, hard-working industry professionals who are committed to going above and beyond to pursue results on each construction/development projects. Role Summary:The Superintendent will develop and execute the project plan and oversee all field aspects of assigned projects. This position will be responsible for managing the field team, planning all construction sequencing, including day-to-day field operations, and meeting all project site goals.All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision, and values of BUILT.• Autonomy & Decision-Making: Expected to function independently, adapting plans and priorities as needed. Makes many decisions, guides subordinate managers, and consults with supervisors as needed. Compensation:• Base Salary: $95,000• Performance Based Pay (eligible after 6 mo. of employment)• Health Benefits • Cell phone (~$1,200 per year)• Gas allowance • 3 weeks PTOResponsibilities: Job Responsibilities: This person's primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:• Leads all aspects of the company's safety culture and creates awareness by demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment through individual actions and mentoring others. Investigates safety incidents and retrains staff and needs.• Set construction schedule prior to the start of construction.• Coordinates and manages the care, custody and control of the project site.• Creates, manages, changes and implements the project's schedule as needed in conjunction with the Project Manager.• Communicates key project information to owners, design team, governing authorities, subcontractors, suppliers and other departments.• Gains understanding of the project pursuit process and methodology.• Partners with project management to identify schedules and costs associated with project changes.• Ensures quality compliance through use of specifications, setting quality standards, in–house QA/QC, and outside resources.• Participates in the negotiation process with the owner and architect to gain agreement for project changes.• Assists in the selection of the formwork, tools, and equipment necessary to complete self-perform operations.• Complete daily progress reports.• Schedule inspections.• Understands and applies the terms and conditions of the owner and subcontractor contracts for the project.• Deliver projects in a timely manner.• Maintain effective relationships with subcontractors.• Maintain a professional image.• Abide by the company's core values.• Timely coordination of design professionals.Qualifications: Key Qualifications: • Bachelor Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering a plus.• High School Diploma, a college degree is preferred• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Construction software• Minimum of 5 years of construction management, estimating, and supervision experience.• Ability to understand a project schedule and read plans.• Ability to provide and update project deliverables.• Understanding the projects from start to finish.• Very strong critical thinking and, analytical skills• Ability to complete lists provided by the project manager.• Strong communication skills.• Understanding profitability – how to build a project within the project requirements.• The ability to make recommendations to resolve problems or issues and make decisions effectively.About Company: If you are a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys the construction and real estate industry, we would love to hear from you.
