Supervise and direct all field installations, ensuring projects are on time, within budget, and maintain superior quality standards: Oversee quality control and assurance, to meet both company standards and exceed customer expectations. Mentor, coach, and develop personnel. Understand and implement all manufacturer installation requirements for refractory products. Trouble-shoot and fix any equipment issues that may arise with assistance from the mechanical department. Perform project management as it pertains to field installations while maintaining projects with a rapid pace. Frequent travel to both local job sites and job sites throughout the Midwest, including overnight travel. Work directly with the Project Managers, Construction Managers, and Construction Assistants in assisting with subcontractor selections. Oversee the on-site work of sub-contractors. Provide recommendations regarding quality of work and potential changes in scope. Identify ways to continuously improve customer satisfaction. Oversee delivery schedules, ensuring that all material and equipment arrive at jobsites on time and complete. Handles the overall upkeep of office maintenance, which involves supervising the Warehouse Associate and Delivery Driver . Serve as the main point of contact for the sales team and office staff, providing field installation updates, conducting inspections, and giving guidance to estimating. Work closely with the Safety Manager to ensure proper safety procedures are followed including confined space, lock out/ tag out, hot works, fall protection, scaffolding, and more. Qualifications: Proficiency in construction skills and understanding of installations. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures. Excellent ability to work under pressure and maintain awareness of the needs and wants of the customer. Ability to operate forklift, aerial lift, scissor lift, off-road lifts, and extended boom. Must understand how to operate and maintain power tools. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. OSHA 10 (or higher) safety certification preferred. Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent Education & Experience: 10+ years of construction management experience in the refractory industry is desired. Requires high school diploma or general equivalency (GED). 10 years of related experience in site supervision, project management, construction management, or a related field are required. Travel: On job sites for 2-4 weeks at a time. Travel approximately 20-30% of the year. Gillespie & Powers, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
