We are seeking a Construction Manager for our Transportation-Construction Management team in the Novi, MI area. The Construction Manager will help manage and administer roadway and bridge transportation construction projects as well as the internal workings of a satellite office. Responsible for project management, contract administration, review and interpretation of plans, specifications, and other construction contract documents, monitor scope, schedule, and budgets, prepare and process work orders; mentor, supervise and assign work to subordinate staff members while enforcing the practices, methods, and procedures of a professional work environment.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED 10+ years of experience with major road or bridge construction inspection Knowledge of road and bridge construction management Knowledge of material testing procedures and testing equipment Ability to manage construction inspection teams and activities on a wide variety of roadway and bridge construction projects Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing Valid Driver License and good driving record Must obtain any required certifications and pass appropriate qualifications tests for the position in specified time frames Ability to sit, stand, climb, bend, twist, or stoop frequently and for prolonged periods of time Ability to reach horizontally as well as vertically for required tasks Ability to use construction or inspection safety equipment including fall protection Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification Project management experience preferred MDOT Certifications OSHA 10 hour Experience with MDOT contract specifications Benefits: Holiday Pay Paid time off 401K Medical, dental, and vision Plus much much more!
