Job Role: Beginning in Q2 or Q3, join our client's dynamic Capital Projects team in the Elko, NV area as a Construction Manager for a Ventilation Shaft Project. This onsite, project-based position offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in overseeing the construction of an 1860 ft. deep shaft with a diameter of 21 ft. This project is critical to operations and requires a skilled and experienced individual to ensure its success.
Responsibilities: Oversee daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project timelines. Track field quantities and prepare comprehensive daily construction reports. Lead regular safety engagements, audits, and meetings with contractors. Collaborate closely with the project team to ensure alignment with the schedule. Serve as the Company's primary representative on-site, effectively managing day-to-day activities with the chosen contractor for sinking. Qualifications: Experience in shaft sinking is essential. Technical degree in engineering preferred. Minimum of 10 years of industrial construction experience, or 15-25 years of relevant industrial construction experience. Strong leadership and communication skills. Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 6 am to 4 pm (10 hours per day). Rotation of 3 weeks on and 1 week off. Openness to working night shifts if required by the project. Perks: Dedicated truck for business use provided. Exciting opportunity to work on a critical project for NGM.
