Century Engineering is seeking Construction Inspectors in Dover, DelawareInspectors will oversee and support the construction of roadway and bridge projectsMust have a minimum of 5 years' heavy highway construction experience
Job seniority: mid-to-senior level
Responsibilities
• Provide quality assurance review for transportation construction projects• Identify and document construction and/or QC deficiencies• Read and interpret construction plans for structures, bridges, and roadways• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents• Assist in review and respond to contractor RFIs• Travel to various work sites• Exercise independent thought and judgment
Requirements
• Minimum 5 years' heavy highway construction experience• Familiarity with DelDOT and/or PennDOT Road and Bridge Specifications• Knowledge of construction materials and surveying techniques• Ability to apply basic math skills• One or more technical certifications pertaining to NICET, ATSSA, and DNREC• Excellent organizational skills• Fluent in English• Current/valid State Driver's License with acceptable driving record• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work during different shifts
