Responsibilities Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates Conduct material take-offs and determine quantities needed for each project Source and obtain competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers Prepare clear and detailed written proposals, including scope of work and pricing breakdown Collaborate with the project team to ensure accurate and timely completion of estimates Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather information for accurate estimating Keep up-to-date with current industry trends, market conditions, and pricing Assist in value engineering and cost-saving initiatives Requirements Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field 5+ years of experience as a Construction Estimator Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes Proficiency in construction estimating software Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications Excellent mathematical and analytical skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment Benefits Competitive Salary Medical, dental and vision benefits Company paid group term life insurance 401(k) Plan Vacation/Sick time Potential bonus opportunity Travel per diem and hotel/apartment expenses paid while on company travel Weekly truck allowance
