Construction Estimator

We are looking for an experienced Construction Estimator with the ability to accurately analyze and estimate the cost of construction projects. The Construction Estimator will be responsible for computing costs by analyzing construction drawings and specifications, and overseeing the bidding process. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in the areas of estimating, bidding, and Take Offs for commercial, warehouse, office, and retail construction projects.
Position Overview: Responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates and bids for construction projects. Key Responsibilities: Examine and analyze construction drawings, specifications, and other documents to determine scope of work and required materials. Utilize On Screen Takeoff (OST) and other estimating software to generate accurate cost estimates. Develop estimates by collecting and studying information; calculating costs. Compile and submit bids, including project cost estimates, materials costs, suggested subcontractor bids, and overhead costs. Prepare reports summarizing estimates. Attend job walks, pre-bid meetings, and post-bid meetings as necessary. Meet with General Contractors, Architects, and Owners. Research and keep abreast of current construction materials, equipment, and labor costs. Assess the accuracy of estimates and adjust as necessary. Maintain construction database. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in the construction industry. In-depth knowledge of construction estimating, materials, and methods. Proficiency in OST, MS Office, and other estimating software. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Strong organizational and time management skills.
