As a Controller, you will be responsible for managing all accounting activities and ensuring the accuracy of financial statements. You will develop and maintain internal controls, manage financial budgeting and forecasting, review and analyze financial statements, coordinate with auditors, manage accounts payable, receive and process payroll, and ensure compliance with company policies and governmental regulations.
The ideal candidate for this position should have at least three years of controller experience within a residential builder and possess a degree in Construction, Construction Management, or Project Accounting. A CPA Certificate is preferred.
Key Responsibilities of the Controller:
-Lead and manage the accounting team
-Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
-Develop and maintain appropriate internal control systems
-Manage financial budgeting and forecasting
-Review and analyze financial statements
-Coordinate with auditors
-Manage accounts payable
-Receive and process payroll
-Ensure compliance with company policies and governmental regulations
The Controller should have excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills, be able to prioritize tasks, and be detail-oriented.
