JOB SUMMARY:The Construction Carpenter is responsible for assisting in various construction projects, including framing, installing fixtures, and performing repairs. Using multiple types of materials including wood, they will work on construction and renovation projects throughout the organization. This role requires attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and a commitment to safety in the completion of all projects.JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Building, erecting, installing and repairing forms, structures and other fixtures made from wood and other materials as needed to assist with various types of construction.Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand and power tools.Inspect and repair damaged frameworks or structures, ensuring stability and safety.Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.Collaborate with other CARTI Team Members including contractors, vendors and other departments as necessary.Adhere to project timelines and complete tasks in a timely manner.Assist with loading and unloading materials.Maintaining tools and equipments in good working order.Ensuring a clean and safe working environment before, during and after a project.Complete construction and renovation projects throughout the organization.May require travel, night and weekend work on occasion.WORK ENVIRONMENT:The work environment described here is representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
