Our client, a highly respected and confidential company in the restaurant industry, is seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead their team and ensure operational excellence.
HC-Resource is looking for a highly skilled and driven General Manager to oversee the daily operations of the restaurant. In this role, you will be responsible for increasing sales, achieving restaurant EBITDA targets, managing the budget, and cultivating a culture of accountability within the restaurant. Your responsibilities also include recruiting, hiring, training, mentoring, and leading Managers and Team Members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Take ownership of the restaurant's performance and community engagement by driving sales, meeting EBITDA goals, adhering to the budget, and fostering a culture of accountability. Oversee all front-of-house (FOH) and heart-of-house (HOH) operations, ensuring compliance with Ecosure standards. Ensure the full integration of the CHARM service model by the FOH Team with every guest interaction. Communicate company strategies and initiatives to drive sales and profitability. Recruit, hire, train, develop, and engage with Managers and Team Members through consistent daily interactions and weekly meetings. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and follow-ups with Managers and Team Members. Reinforce Team Members' skills and foster leadership behaviors among Managers. Develop and implement strategies to retain top-performing Team Members. Manage receiving and inventory levels, reporting any concerns to the Area Coach (AC). Set and delegate daily goals and tasks, ensuring completion through consistent follow-up. Monitor sales performance, ensuring proper scheduling and staffing, and develop strategies to meet sales goals. Adhere to company policies, procedures, state and federal wage and hour regulations, and restaurant filing responsibilities. Manage funds, bank deposits, and payroll. REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 21 years old. High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Must have 5+ years of full-service General Manager experience in a hospitality setting. ServSafe Certified preferred or able to obtain certification within 90 days of employment. Valid Driver's License. Commitment to providing excellent and friendly service. Proven ability to increase sales. Ability to inspire and motivate team members. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to set clear goals for yourself and your team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to foster collaboration and teamwork. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Regular attendance. Ability to work up to 55 hours per week. Ability to stand or walk for long periods. Frequently required to hear, speak, walk, crawl, climb, stand, reach, bend, balance, kneel, stoop, lift, and carry items up to 50 lbs. Ability to tolerate significant temperature changes. Frequent immersion of hands in water and cleaning or sanitizing solutions. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
