Savannah River Mission Completion, LLC (SRMC) is seeking a Conduct of Operations (Conops) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site. This position will serve as a Conduct of Operations (Conops) Subject Matter Expert to Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) for managing operations, infrastructure, and personnel. Develops, promulgates, and maintains conduct of operations policy, standards, and guidance for SRMC management staff. This position will report to the SRMC Conduct of Operations Program Manager.
Assist with the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of the Company's Conduct of Operations program providing overarching direction and guidance to facility organizations to enhance operations. Develops and evaluates training and procedures content and processes to ensure conformance and effectiveness to the Conops program. Assist facilities with issue investigations and the corrective action program to prevent recurrence of events and improve overall Conops performance. Ensures operational requirements (including maintainability, training, operating procedures, etc.) are appropriately identified and incorporated into design, planning and execution. Monitors and continuously improves Conops performance in assigned facility. Other duties as assigned BS in Engineering or related technical or science degree and related experience; or BS in a non-technical discipline and related experience; or High School Diploma or GED and combination of secondary education and/or experience in work control, materials management, operations, and maintenance related areas (combined) Experience in a nuclear operations role Operations experience working in a Department of Energy (DOE) nuclear facility/site Demonstrated leadership experience Familiarity with the DOE Conduct of Operations Program Order DOE O 422.1 implementing disciplined and structured operations that support mission success and promote worker, public, and environmental protection. In-depth knowledge of DOE, Federal, and State regulations as well as existing technical safety requirements and risk reduction analysis procedures Lean Six Sigma (Black or Green) certification; experience in process improvement Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC), a prime contractor for the US Department of Energy, is responsible for managing the Department of Energy's Savannah River Site's Liquid Waste operations contract. Located in Aiken, South Carolina, SRMC is a limited liability company formed by nuclear operations and environmental remediation global leaders BWXT, Amentum, and Fluor. The SRMC Team is responsible for the closure of waste tanks, the operation of the Savannah River Site's Defense Waste Processing Facility, tank farm operations and associated production and disposal facilities.
