The Garrett Group is in search of a Computer Systems Analyst to undertake vital duties at the Joint Center for Electromagnetic Readiness (JCER) under an upcoming contract. The role involves essential tasks such as conducting routine assessments of service deployment certification events and mandatory prerequisite training crucial for deployments supporting Combatant Commands (CCMDs). These responsibilities entail comprehensive evaluations of venues, events, and units, while adhering to established standards like the Universal Joint Tasks (UJTs) and the EMOE Characterization Framework.
Qualifications Required Experience: Providing technical support and assistance in IT to customers and organizations, including IT help desk activities such as installation, monitoring, and maintenance of IT assets. Coordinating with higher-level IT and leadership on policies and procedures for personnel access and use of IT assets and capabilities. Diagnosing and resolving technical issues, including those related to email clients and internet connectivity, to ensure personnel can resume operations promptly. Conducting and managing IT asset inventories, ensuring proper deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and disposal when necessary. Establishing requirements for LAN and WAN connectivity for multiple networks, managing the identification, licensing, installation, configuration control, and maintenance of IT assets, including upgrades of administrative and analytical systems and software. Managing standard PC, printer/copier/scanner, phone, and cell phone maintenance. Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience. Desired Experience: Installing and applying updates to software, drivers, and firmware as required to safeguard against vulnerabilities. Investigating and diagnosing incidents and tickets to restore IT services promptly. Documenting troubleshooting steps and service restoration details. Ensuring controlled and timely transfer of requested data between systems to support mission requirements. Providing weekly statuses of file transfer actions and maintaining current and accessible data transfer agent (DTA) documentation. Key Responsibilities: Serving as the CSA for all system-related issues within their operational area, including collateral, SCIF, and/or SAP areas. Coordinating support from other IT members as necessary. Acting as the primary IT support for basic customer issues, aiming to handle 75%-85% of user problems independently before escalating. Performing customer service and help desk tasks, in/out-processing of personnel and equipment, account management, troubleshooting, incident management, and DTA tasks. In-processing and out-processing personnel, ensuring timely provision of rights, accesses, and accounts for incoming personnel and proper out-processing of departing personnel. Ensuring the readiness of Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems to support mission requirements. Regularly updating TEMPEST information to maintain accuracy.
