Full job description Overview: The Compliance Coordinator is responsible for auditing identified compliance concerns, assisting in development and updating of policies and procedures and education material, as well as supporting the Compliance Department with other various compliance related projects

Reports To: VP of Quality Assurance & Compliance Auditing

Pay Rate: $33-$38 per hour
Responsibilities: Principal Responsibilities and Duties: Perform compliance audits, data analysis, and monitoring activities across the Company to ensure data integrity, and compliance with federal and state regulations pertaining to, but not limited to: human capital, medical record documentation, coding and billing, and conflict of interest. Assists in response to and investigation of allegations of non-compliance and ensures allegations, concerns or questions relating are routed appropriately. Conducts research and acts as a subject matter expert regarding compliance matters. Supports compliance measures in all EMR platforms. Supports the Compliance leadership in developing, implementing, and maintaining the Company audit and Work Plan. Conducts assigned projects successfully from beginning to end within designated timeframes. Identifies and communicates issues and concerns raised, offering recommended solutions to improve processes and promote compliance. Audits and/or monitoring activities may include, but are not limited to medical documentation, coding, billing and general compliance. Develop and track compliance corrective action plans that result from audits. Prepares clear and concise project communications, documents and reports. Monitors payor, federal, state, and local Medicare contractor regulations for compliance related changes that may impact the organization. Performs compliance awareness and training as needs are identified or requested Assists Compliance team with other duties as assigned. Work Environment This job operates remotely in the associate's home office with field travel to support compliance team initiatives as assigned. This role routinely uses standard office computer equipment such as laptops, software programs, etc.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time salaried position. Some flexibility in specific work hours is allowed, and must work required hours each week to maintain full-time status.
Travel Must be willing to travel overnight frequently as needed.

In accordance with the minimum necessary standard, the employee may only access PHI to perform the job as a Senior Vice President Quality Assurance & Compliance. The minimum necessary standard must be applied in all matters and shall continue privacy protection during non-working hours and after employment is no longer with the company.

Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required: A minimum of three (3) years of experience in health care facilities, outside regulatory agencies, compliance or healthcare auditors is required. Proven leadership skills in the healthcare field. Knowledge of and ability to perform skills related to planning, auditing, and educating. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, responsible parties, communities, personnel and support agencies. Proficient use of personal computer and software applications used in job functions including but not limited to word processing, graphics, databases, spreadsheets, and electronic medical record systems. Working knowledge of navigating business intelligence and other data analytics platforms is preferred. Should possess a thorough knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, private pay, and any other governmental and regulatory agencies involved in skilled nursing, senior living, outpatient, pediatrics, and home health care. Should possess a good working knowledge of Medicare/PDPM/PDGM, Managed Care, value-based care or any other reimbursement systems as it relates to industry regulation affecting the organization as well as upstream and downstream partners. Able to adapt to changes in the work environment, can handle various demands and unexpected events. Maintain confidentially of company employee information. Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completion. Identifies problems and resolves them in a timely manner. Prioritizes work activities to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
