Purpose of Job The Compliance Auditor serves as support to the Director of Regulatory. The Compliance Auditor is a champion for process improvement, regulation compliance and best practices for the business. The Compliance Auditor will serve as a back up to the Director of Regulatory in all internal and external audits.
Job Duties and Responsibilities Assist site in maintaining compliance with the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) through regular on-site self-assurance audits. Support operations and plant finance with yearly physical inventories of bulk, barrels, and finished goods. Prepare for and help lead TTB audits and assist other sites in preparation for and during audits. Guide and train key plant personnel in compliance with federal and state regulations. Interpret federal and state excise tax regulation and identify risk pertaining to non-compliance. Collaborate with Director of Regulatory to implement processes to meet Code of Federal Regulations and assist in rolling process improvements to key personnel, providing guidance when needed. Drive changes in practices and procedures that result in regulatory updates. Timeliness, quality and accuracy of tax payments, customer reports, and other transactions. Interaction with site management teams, government, export shipping agents, external distillers. Challenge existing ways of working at sites and influence change where needed Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or equivalent degree with financial or operational background. Exposure to supply chain activities would be beneficial. Knowledge of Code of Federal Regulations (Title 27) is a plus Proficiency in computer skills. Strong with MS Excel and Word Knowledge of NetSuite is a plus Ability to effectively communicate at all levels, both verbal and written, with internal stakeholders, external government agencies, and external vendors and customers. Ability to establish priorities and work under pressure. Must be very detail oriented. Must be self-directed able to work independently.
