As a dedicated Compliance and Operational Testing Analyst Lead, you will be a member of the second line of defense that oversees the execution of independent testing under the Enterprise Testing Program Office to ensure departmental processes and activities align with applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. The incumbent will be a member of the Enterprise Testing Program Office which consists of Program Excellence, Quality Program, Program Management, Issue Validation, Regulatory Responses, Front Line Oversight, Methodology, Planning, Strategy, Training, and Technology.
We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, or Tampa, FL. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
As a member of the second line of defense, coordinates the execution of independent testing under the Enterprise Testing program methodology to ensure departmental processes and activities align with applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures. The incumbent will compile and retain well documented work papers to create accurate and concise written reports including issues, root cause and recommended corrective action.
The Opportunity What you'll do: + Serves as a subject matter expert in a specific subject/business area and provides guidance to team members on complex issues.
+ Perform quality oversight of Enterprise Testing deliverables and Enterprise Testing Program Office controls, inclusive of change management.
+ Manage ad hoc requests, inclusive of senior leadership and regulatory requests.
+ Developing quality executive level reporting and presentations.
+ Develop program wide communications and oversee Enterprise Testing Program control quality.
+ Performs complex qualitative analysis of data.
+ May develop executive briefs and present to key internal and external partners.
+ Builds, develops, and maintains relationships with the business and internal control partners (Audit, Risk & Compliance, Legal) to facilitate collaboration between all lines of defense for testing.
+ Develops the steps needed to test and/or analyze compliance with complex policies/procedures and laws/regulations.
What you have: + Bachelor's Degree or 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a Degree.
+ 8 or more years of relevant work experience (internal/external audit, operational risk/compliance testing, quality assurance)
+ Expert knowledge of relevant industry regulations and regulatory compliance in a specific area.
+ Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying federal and state laws and regulations and guidance or operational risk principles/concepts.
+ Advanced knowledge of testing techniques and data analysis principles, as well as the ability to interpret subsequent results.
+ Proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels of management.
+ Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
What sets you apart: + Solid understanding of risk management frameworks.
+ Experience working in a large Financial Institution, with a strong understanding of relevant laws rules and regulations ( FFIEC ).
+ Previous experience managing external regulatory request.
+ Experience preparing executive level presentation and reports.
+ Understanding of the issue management process
+ Professional designation such as CRCM

What we offer: Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $109,130- $208,580 . Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
