We are seeking skilled technicians to join our team as a Baler/Compactor Technician .As a Baler/Compactor Technician, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of recycling equipment, controls, and other components purchased by customers. Working independently, you'll ensure the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction.Responsibilities:The Baler/Compactor Technician will utilize an understanding of electrical and hydraulic schematics to detect and resolve issues with electrical and mechanical components. Duties include:Traveling to customer sites for installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of recycling equipment and controls.Researching machine issues using recycling equipment manuals, technical documents, internal, and vendor resources.Documenting the status of machine issues, repairs, and installations for both the company office and customers.Performing preventative maintenance on customer's recycling equipment.Providing after-sales technical support and machine maintenance training to customers.Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the recycling equipment industry and the product lines represented by the company.Qualifications:High School Diploma/GED.Driver's License with a clean driving record.Organized and professional attitude.Basic understanding of electrical and hydraulic schematics; ability to read and interpret drawings.Ability and willingness to learn.Excellent technical, communication, and presentation skills.Physical fitness to meet the job requirements.Flexibility to work varying hours.We are currently interviewing qualified candidates for the DFW Metroplex and for the Greater Houston area.Submit your resume confidentially to or reply to this advert.All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.GPAC (Growing People and Companies) is an award-winning search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States since 1990.
