POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position will assist the Community Center Manager and Assistant Manager in coordinating operations and activities, schedule the use of the community center, and assist in providing community services and recreational and educational opportunities for participants of all ages. The employee ensures that priorities and expectations are being met for participants. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Job Duties and Responsibilities: Support and assist the Community Center Manager and Assistant Manager.
Help create a friendly, open, and safe environment.
Perform clerical duties such as answering telephones, maintaining files, and preparing documents.
Develop and create new programs, offerings, and curriculum for participants.
Assist in maintaining programs and lead classes as appropriate.
Establish friendly working relationships with regular participants.
Develop community partnerships that may provide workshops, classes, programs, lectures, seminars, and/or entertainment for participants.
Maintain records.
Communicate Commissioner Precinct 4 functions and resource to participants as appropriate.
Attend professional development programs, such as writing development and safety.
Set up and break down rooms.
Maintain cleanliness of the center when facilities personnel are unavailable.
Other duties may be assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must be proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability to operate basic office equipment.
