Communications Specialist Full Time Temp - Hire $25+ /Hr, DOE On Site, Plymouth Meeting, PA
Position has responsibility for design and implementation of communications, incentive and other programs in the employee benefits industry for group health, pension and other employee benefit plan clients. A day in the life of the Communications Specialist Draft participant communications materials regarding new or existing benefits, changes to benefits, new benefit programs Develop incentive programs and contests designed to increase benefit plan knowledge, utilization and/or compliance Oversee communications mailings for plan operations and legal compliance Communication (via telephone, in person or via e-mail or mail) with employee benefit plan members regarding escalated complaints. Investigation of participant benefit claim appeals and preparation of responses Serve a key point of contact with outside vendors and service providers and address issues as needed Assist in revision of existing plan materials, including but not limited to summary plan descriptions, summary of material modifications, summary of benefits and coverage language/notices, open enrollment materials and other materials Conduct participant educational meetings and seminars Attendance at client governance meetings and preparation of meeting minutes Preparation of reports of communication activities Required Skills: Proficiency in use of Microsoft suite of products including but not limited to: Excellent written and oral communication skills Attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively with other staff or independently, as necessary based on business objectives Analytical Problem Solving and Organizational skills Skills and qualifications you will need: Proficiency in use of Microsoft Suite programs including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook Experience in employee benefits, health insurance, human resources preferred Experience in preparation of communications programs preferred Excellent written and oral communication skills and attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively with other staff or independently, as necessary based on business objectives Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Basic math (or arithmetic) skills EOE employer.
