MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
Requires a Valid Driver's License (subject to motor vehicle review).
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
2-3 years' experience in Systems Administration
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES: Manage and administrate the entire communications infrastructure, security systems and its associated software, including PBX's, call management systems, voicemail, video conferencing systems, and burglary/fire/access control security system.
Maintain, tune and optimize security system and video surveillance system.
Develop long rang communications development plans in accordance with stated business strategy for both voice communication and security systems.
Design and oversee communications and security projects with a goal to improving or expanding the current infrastructure.
Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures and training plans for communication/security systems administration and appropriate use.
Work with end users to establish service level agreements based on user requirements.
Assess need for any system reconfiguration (minor or significant), make recommendations and execute them as required.
Conduct research on emerging business communications and security technologies in alignment with business requirements.
Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsources, and contractors to secure communications products and services in a timely and professional manner.
Administer all contacts for communication and security system equipment and services.
Prepare communications and security system budget recommendations.
Monitor and identify capacity and performance issues within the communications and security systems traffic to ensure continued, uninterrupted operation of their related systems.
Generate communications usage and inventory reports as required. Generate security related reports as required or requested.
Conduct testing and development of disaster recovery plans to detect faults, minimize malfunctions and backup systems.
Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
