Communications And Community Outreach Coordinator

General Duties:
This position is responsible for creating and maintaining effective internal and external communications for the City's departments, residents, businesses and other community stakeholders.
The position ensures effective lines of communication are developed and maintained between the City and its stake holders.
Provides marketing, advertising, public information and event management for City sponsored/supported meetings, events, programs and initiatives, as well as working with community organizations and City staff on special projects.
Responsible for City communications including maintaining and developing the City's websites, social media channels, online permitting and licensing tools, meeting management software, emergency alert systems and other emerging technologies.
Minimum Qualifications:
•

High School Diploma/ Equivalent
•

Experience in communications, community relations, marketing, or related.
•

Experience in dissemination of public information, strong written and interpersonal skills
•

Related experience managing and organizations social media platforms
•

Valid Driver's License
