Specializing in window treatments, we are a seeking dynamic Senior PM/Estimator to contribute to the success of the window treatments division in the Houston metro market.Location: Houston, TX - Relocation resources are available for qualifying candidatesJob Description :The Senior PM/Estimator oversees commercial construction projects, handling cost estimation, pricing, and fostering client relationships. This role requires effective sales and negotiation skills, leadership in project completion, and collaboration with the General Contractor. The Senior PM/Estimator is a key contact for issue escalation, emphasizing honesty, strong communication, organizational abilities, results-driven focus, commitment to team development, and industry expertise within the window treatment division.Business Development :Identify and pursue target customers and projects aligned with organizational goals.Establish and maintain close relationships with current and potential customers.Identify and seize business opportunities for mutually beneficial outcomes.Develop creative solutions for negotiation and value addition (e.g., value engineering, packaging multiple trades).Influence project aspects upfront for optimal win-win outcomes.Maintain an active market presence through relationships, association involvement, events, and seminars.Cost Estimating :Assess and prioritize current and future bid opportunities.Review plans, drawings, and specifications; visit construction sites for logistical considerations.Gather market intelligence and competitor landscape information.Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors for quotes.Predict variables' effects on productivity and the bottom line.Effectively bundle products and services for a market advantage.Improve accuracy, consistency, and speed of take-offs.Manage time effectively to deliver on-time bids.Transfer project knowledge acquired during estimating to the production team.Project Management :Partner with field leaders and customers for pre-job planning.Facilitate strategic pre-con meetings to plan work, identify and resolve potential issues, and develop cost code structures.Develop and gain customer agreement on a schedule of values.Proactively identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining quality.Regularly be present on the job to support field teams.Confront customers with issues, offering solutions leading to positive resolutions.Effectively document customer agreements through RFI and change order processes.Job Requirements :Education :High School Diploma/GED with equivalent work experience.Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred).Experience :5+ years of experience in commercial construction, with expertise in Fabric Panel.Proven track record in selling and managing projects, preferably in general contracting and interiors.Experience with estimating, scheduling, and project management technologies.Benefits :Competitive salary, $85K-$110K based on experience.Comprehensive benefits: medical, dental, vision401K with company matchWellness reimbursementIf you are ready to advance your career and join a reputable company in commercial construction, we want to hear from you!
