Spees Design Build is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to assist with design-focused project management services for the Department of Veterans Affairs renovation and construction projects. The Assistant Project Manager will ensure adherence to project requirements and timelines. This position will collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to coordinate project design activities and deliverables. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will assist in budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation for projects and foster positive relationships with clients and stakeholders, addressing their needs and concerns throughout the project lifecycle. The Assistant Project Manager will provide support in project documentation, reporting, and communication and assist in the development and implementation of project plans and strategies.
The selected candidate will need to embrace the opportunity to travel the country and visit VA Campuses throughout the US. The selected candidate will conduct site visits and inspections as needed, ensuring quality and compliance with project specifications. The candidate will also learn how to operate 3D LiDAR scanning equipment and develop interpersonal skills with clients, subcontractors, and co-workers. Someone with an undergraduate degree in construction would be ideal. What you will need to succeed: Bachelor's degree in project management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Strong organizational and communication skills. 2-4 years of experience in project management or related roles. Ability to travel as required for project-related activities. Familiarity with Department of Veterans Affairs projects and military service is a plus. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass a drug screen and background check.
The salary range is $50-70k DOE. Full benefits package:
