Commercial Banking Assistant II Location Reston, VA (Hunter area) : The Commercial Banking Assistant II performs a variety of duties in support of the Commercial Banking Line of Business. They work closely with Commercial Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, internal department personnel and external customers to complete a variety of tasks associated with the origination and servicing of loans. They ensure the timely renewal of existing loans, mitigate loan exceptions and assist with the growth and management of cash management products and services. Position Accountabilities Service deposit accounts according to guidelines and procedures Monitor daily non-sufficient funds reports, obtain necessary approvals and communicate to retail as needed Handle daily incoming customer requests and inquiries in a professional manner Process payments and advances on loans Perform account maintenance and research as needed Prepare post closing loan packages to include maintaining files and clearing exceptions Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations governing bank operations Image or file financial statements and documents as needed Perform preliminary loan closing requirements such as to include flood certifications, credit reports, residential appraisals, environmental reports, UCC searches or other reports as needed Prepare commercial loan closing packages Prepare tickets and/or wire transfers as needed May assist in management of construction loans Prepare pay off quotes and handle releases Performs other duties as assigned Organizational Relationship This position reports to the Commercial Support Group Manager
Position Qualifications Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent Three to five years commercial or retail banking or industry related experience required Commercial loan experience preferred Knowledge & Skills
Working knowledge of LaserPro or comparable document preparation banking software Superior customer service skills Excellent computer skills relevant to Microsoft Office Suites Excellent communication skills Well organized with attention to detail Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities Flexible, able to adapt to change Superior time management and problem solving skills Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment Analytical skills Salary offered will be based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. This position is also eligible to participate in either an applicable incentive compensation plan for the position or a discretionary profit sharing bonus program. The salary range for this position is $49,536 - $74,319 and will be determined by the selected candidate's experience.
