Responsibilities
• Follow-up on insurance balances or self-pay accounts• Ensure payment is received without delay from insurance companies or uninsured patients• Communicate clearly and efficiently with clients and staff members• Maintain productivity standards and reports• Obtain updated demographic information and necessary information for insurance billing• Forward updated information to responsible staff members• Operate computer to input follow-up notes and retrieve collection and patient information• Write effective appeals to insurance companies
Requirements
• Experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable preferred• Effective written and verbal communication skills• Ability to multitask and prioritize needs• Analytical and problem-solving skills• Customer service experience required• High School Graduate or GED Equivalent Required (effective 4/1/14 for all new hires)
