Position Overview:
As a Coding Auditor and Educator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy of coding practices while fostering a culture of compliance and continuous improvement within our teams. Reporting to the Coding Supervisor, you will focus on aligning coding with clinical documentation standards and providing educational support to enhance coding proficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct retrospective and concurrent coding for Dual participants
Perform pre-visit chart preparations and post-visit chart reviews
Lead audits and contribute to provider education programs to ensure adherence to CMS risk adjustments diagnosis coding guidelines
Collaborate with the Coding Supervisor to identify opportunities for HCC coding education
Requirements:
Preferred: Associates Degree; alternatively, three (3) years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree
Minimum four (4) years of related experience in coding and auditing, or a combination of healthcare-related education and experience
Minimum two (2) years of Risk Adjustment (HCC) coding experience in a managed care environment
Current certification such as CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-H, CPMA, or CRC
Proficiency in ICD-10 coding standards
Familiarity with the correct application of M.E.A.T. concepts
Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Compensation:
Salary range: $67,829.78 - $81,395.73 annually, plus Bonus and Equity. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
