Job purpose Sets up and operates CNC Machining Equipment to fabricate metallic and non-metallic parts by performing the following duties.
Duties and responsibilities Monitor machine operation to verify accuracy of machine settings and to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, utilizing precision measurement instruments. Adjust machine to control part process. Routine Quality Control inspection and documentation of parts throughout the production. Post edits to CNC program. Inspect cutting tools for sharpness and usability. De-burr and clean parts to specifications. Clean and maintain equipment, tooling and parts to maintain equipment for optimal production. Work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries following all safety regulations. Qualifications Working knowledge of M and G codes to edit, set-up and operate Citizen or other CNC equipment. Familiarization with production CNC operation. Interpret prints and work instructions. The ability to accurately measure parts for Quality Control. The ability to work independently and with focus. Advanced Manufacturing/ Precision Machining degrees/certificates or equivalent experience. Working conditions The job is performed at our facility at 14062 Riverport Dr. in a climate controlled non-smoking environment. It requires a person to work day or evening shifts and occasional overtime.
Physical requirements The job requires possible standing for extended lengths of time and the ability to lift 25 lbs.
