CNC Machinist Fridley, MN | Contract to Hire | $22 - $28/hour Monday to Thursday, 5 am - 3:30 pm Job Summary: As a Steinhauer Operator, you will play a vital role in the company's production process. Your primary responsibility will be operating and maintaining a Steinhauer machine. You will ensure the efficient and accurate manufacturing of products while adhering to quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
Machine Operation: Operate the Steinhauer machine effectively and efficiently to produce high-quality products according to specifications. Setup and Preparation: Set up the machine, including installing necessary tools, loading materials, and adjusting machine settings for each job. Monitoring Production: Monitor the production process closely to ensure the machine operates smoothly and troubleshoot any issues that may arise. Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks on the manufactured products to ensure they meet the required specifications and standards. Documentation: Keep accurate records of production activities, including job setups, materials used, production counts, and any issues or defects encountered. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor immediately. Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience operating a Steinhauer machine or similar CNC equipment is highly preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measuring tools and instruments. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
