Responsibilities: Operate and maintain machinery Review drawings, instructions, blueprints, and samples Identify requirements of output Select the appropriate machine and settings for a given task Position or load material into the machine Properly plan the sequence of actions to complete the project Monitor production Make necessary adjustments to feed, temperature, and other settings Take inventory of finished products Perform quality control checks Document or discard nonconforming products Troubleshoot malfunctions, perform basic maintenance, or request repairs Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Comply with health and safety regulations and always wear protective gear Position Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent Apprenticeship or vocational training is a plus Experience working with machine tools or mechanical assembly Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred but not required Basic computer and math skills Understanding of necessary tools and equipment Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail Excellent communication, organization, and coordination skills May need to stand for an extended amount of time May engage in bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, and lifting Surge hires for a variety of top jobs in the area.
